Arc Flash Assessment Labeling

Our labels will provide you with all required information in an easy to read format.

The labels provided in an Electrical Safety Consulting, LLC Arc Flash Assessment will include the following information: 

        

  1. Danger or Warning Header

  2. Equipment Name

  3. Supply Source for the Equipment

  4. Arc Flash Incident Energy (in cal/cm^2)

  5. Arc Flash Boundary (in inches)

  6. Working Distance (in inches)

  7. PPE Minimum Arc Rating (in cal/cm^2)

  8. Nominal Voltage

  9. Limited Approach Boundary (in inches)

  10. Restricted Approach Boundary (in inches)

  11. Glove Class

  12. Date of the Analysis

  13. Fault Current (in kiloamperes)

 

Electrical Safety Consulting uses the “Two Color Approach” in relation to the labels that will be provided.

A “ WARNING” label consisting of an Orange Stripe across the top and bottom will be used for equipment with a calculated incident energy level less than or equal to 40 cal/cm^2. This is an example of a typical orange striped label:

A “ DANGER” label consisting of a Red Stripe across the top and bottom will be used for equipment with a calculated incident energy level greater than 40 cal/cm^2. This is an example of a typical red striped label:
